Shavuot
We will read on Shavuot the Ten Commandments.
Which one is the most challenging for us to keep?
Perhaps – the last one. That is :
“You shall not covet your neighbor’s house: you shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or male or female slave, or ox or ass, or anything that is your neighbor’s”
Never wish to have any item owned by someone else!
Maybe – this is why it is the only item mentioned twice in the ten commandments.
May we have all that we need and legitimately wish to have.
